Luxury homes for sale in Mississauga

This page lists every home for sale in Mississauga asking $1.5 million or more, highest price first. Most of them sit in a handful of places: the estate streets of Lorne Park and Mineola, the lakefront and river lots of Port Credit and Clarkson, the ravine edges of Sheridan and Erindale, and the newer custom builds of Lorne Park Estates and the Credit Mills pocket of East Credit.

At this level the land is usually the story. Lots in Lorne Park and Mineola were laid out for summer homes and can run to half an acre or more under mature oaks; buyers pay for the lot and the street first and the house second. Stan Bernardo's team has sold in these neighbourhoods since the late 1990s and holds one of the longest sale records on the lakeshore. Many of the team's sales at this level never reach a public listing.

Where the luxury market lives

Lorne Park, Mineola and Port Credit account for most of the city's highest-priced homes, with Clarkson's lakefront pocket and the Rattray Marsh streets close behind. Sheridan and Erindale contribute ravine and river lots along the Credit. East Credit's Credit Mills section and Streetsville's river streets hold the newer custom homes north of the QEW. Lakeview's Lakeshore-facing lots are rising as the waterfront redevelops.

Buying at this level

Expect longer days on market than the city average, more private showings, fewer open houses and a larger share of sales that are negotiated rather than competed. Survey, conservation authority regulation, tree protection and heritage designation all matter on the old lakeshore lots. The team will tell you which streets carry which restrictions before you fall in love with a lot.
