Erindale

One of Mississauga's oldest villages, folded into the Credit River valley, with park, river and campus in the middle of the city.

The character

Erindale began as a 19th-century mill village on the Credit, and the river valley still defines it. Erindale Park, the city's largest, spreads along the water below Dundas Street, and the neighbourhood's established streets climb away from the valley on both sides.

Erindale Park is the daily habit: salmon runs in the fall, toboggan hills in winter, and the river trail system connecting north toward Streetsville and south toward the lake. UTM's campus adds library, sport and cultural facilities most suburbs never get.

Getting there and around

Erindale GO on the Milton line serves the commute, Highway 403 is minutes north, and Dundas Street's MiWay corridor runs express east–west. The airport is a twenty-minute drive on a clear morning. Erindale is also home to Mississauga’s newest hospital, the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, with easy access on the Hazel McCallion Line, Mississauga’s new rapid transit line.

Established detached homes on valley-influenced streets, from original side-splits to substantially rebuilt family houses, plus townhome and condo options along the Dundas corridor. Proximity to the park and the river shapes value street by street.
