What Lakeview
is
Lakeview is the east end of Mississauga's shoreline, running from Port Credit to the Toronto border at Etobicoke Creek. Its bones are post-war: straight streets of one-and-a-half-storey bungalows and modest detached homes built for a different era, now rebuilding lot by lot into larger custom houses.
Lakefront Promenade is the anchor park, with a marina, beach and picnic commons on the water. The neighbourhood borders Port Credit's restaurant strip to the west, and the Small Arms Inspection Building at the eastern end has become a community arts hub. Golfers have Toronto Golf Club and Lakeview Golf Course on the doorstep.
Getting there and around
The QEW runs along the neighbourhood's north edge, and Long Branch GO (just across Etobicoke Creek) puts Lakeshore West service within a short drive or cycle. Lakeshore Road's buses connect west to Port Credit GO.
