Three bedrooms across Oakville's home types
In the townhouse market, three bedrooms is the standard plan, whether it is a nineties freehold row in River Oaks, a 2000s block in Westmount, or a newer stacked or three-storey townhouse along the Dundas corridor in Joshua Meadows and Glenorchy. Among detached houses the count concentrates below the QEW in the postwar grid, where the original three-bedroom bungalow or sidesplit is still the most common form in Bronte, Southwest Oakville, West Oakville, College Park and Falgarwood. Semi-detached houses, less common in Oakville than in Mississauga, cluster in the same older areas and in a few nineties pockets north of Upper Middle Road. Three-bedroom condominium apartments form the smallest group; they show up in the older waterfront buildings at Bronte and in a handful of larger suites downtown and at the Uptown Core.
