Lakeview condos for sale

Condo buying in Lakeview splits into two markets. The established stock is low-rise and townhouse-style: Fairways at 1400 Dixie Road backing onto the golf course, Seven Sixty Lakeview Terrace at 760 Lakeshore Road East, Village Terrace at Parkwest Place, and the buildings at 1515 and 1535 Lakeshore Road East. These are smaller communities where you should read the status certificate closely, check the reserve fund and ask about window, roof and parking-garage schedules, since many were built decades ago. The new market is Lakeview Village: Tridel's Harbourwalk, two connected 19-storey buildings at Lakeshore and Hydro Road, started construction in October 2024, and Greenpark's Aquanova is selling with occupancy advertised for 2029. For pre-construction, confirm the occupancy date, assignment rules, development levies and parking and locker terms in writing. Also look at the Rise at Stride mid-rise on Douglas McCurdy Common if you want something recent and already built.

Questions people ask about Lakeview

Are there high-rise condos in Lakeview today?

Not many yet. The existing condo stock is mostly low-rise and townhouse-style along Lakeshore Road East and Dixie Road. The first towers are coming through Lakeview Village, where Harbourwalk's two 19-storey buildings are under construction and further phases are planned as the 177-acre site builds out.

What should I check in an older Lakeview condo?

Ask for the status certificate and reserve fund study, the age of the roof, windows and underground parking membrane, and whether any special assessments are planned. Confirm what the fees include, such as water, heat or parking, and whether the corporation restricts rentals or pets.

Is buying pre-construction in Lakeview Village a safe bet?

Treat it as a long-horizon purchase. Confirm the developer's occupancy estimate, the interim occupancy terms, capped development charges and the assignment policy. The community benefits agreement and the district energy system are in place, but full build-out is expected to take 15 to 20 years.
